Genome

Introduction

Genome is a standalone, persistent-world roguelike spin-off of Outlaw Troopers with no offseason downtime. It runs completely separate from the main game, allowing players to use cloned characters to explore random dungeons and collect resources.

Unlike the main game, Genome is completely persistent—your upgrades, Companion levels, and unlocked cloning vats never reset.

How to Access

- Direct Play Link: play.outlawtroopers.io/genome/play/

- Alternative Path: Go to play.outlawtroopers.io, click Launch App, and select Genome.

The Basic Game Loop

- Clone: Create a clone using one of your available cloning vats.

- Play: Explore a turn-based, random map to gather Rust and EXP (experience).

- Death & Termination: Run ends when your clone is terminated (either by dying or by choosing to exit). You always keep all the Rust and EXP you gathered.

Cloning Vats (Tubes)

- Starting Vats: You start with 1 active cloning vat.

- Unlocking Vats: You can permanently unlock up to a maximum of 5 vats using Kroc or Rust.

- Daily Reset: All vats reset and become usable again every day at 16:00 UTC.

- Instant Clear Feature: Available only to active members using a max-level Companion (Level 30). This allows you to instantly clear any unused vats using the exact stats and rewards (Floor, Kills, DMG Taken, and Rust) from your single best run of the day.

Companion Progression

- Each Companion character has unique starting stats and abilities.

- Experience and level progression are permanent.

Genome Membership

- Benefits: Gives passive boosts like double EXP/Rust, stat bonuses, and extra inventory slot.

- How to Get:

• • Purchased directly with Kroc.

• • Earned as rewards in the main Outlaw Troopers game.

• • Won in the Rust Auction (For example, a 3-day membership item which will activate or extend your current membership by 3 days, claim to activate it).

Rust Auction

- Bidding: Spend your gathered Rust to bid on permanent Assets, tokens (such as OLT Tokens) or more.

- How to Claim:

• Permanent Assets (NFTs): Claim twice (first in-game, then in the Vault).

• Others: Claim once in-game.

- Refunds: If you are outbid, your Rust is fully refunded and can be manually claimed back on the Auction screen.

Global Rankings

- Daily Personal: Ranks your single best run per category (Joe, Fireflower, Glow) each day. You can join one, two, or all three rankings depending on your choice.

- Monthly Clan: Pools stats from all Clan members to win monthly Rust and OLT Tokens rewards (Prizes are per-member).
