Introduction

This guide helps new players understand which items are needed to start playing Outlaw Troopers effectively.

Outlaw Troopers is a cross-chain strategy game available on both WAX and IMX.

Getting Started (Free to Play)

Every new account begins with:

- 1 Virtual "Patch" Trooper: A non-withdrawable starter Trooper.

- 1 Starter Ship: Obtained from the tutorial.

With these, you can run Normal Encounters immediately to explore the game. To fully access all game modes, you will eventually need a small team of Troopers, Ships, Gears, and Robot Assets.

Where to Buy

Assets can be purchased from the official store or secondary markets.

- Official Store: Vault Shop

- Secondary Markets: NeftyBlocks, AtomicHub, TokenTrove

Asset Types & Purposes

- Troopers: Mainly for Encounters and Missions

- Gears: Boost stats in Encounters and Missions

- Ships: Used for Encounters and Ship Battles

- Limited Troopers and Gears: Special Assets with unique bonuses

- Qwitts: Find Robotic Keys for The Abyss

- Robot Assets: Mainly for the Abyss and Planet mining

- Decks: Bundles containing a mix of Troopers, Ships, Qwitts etc. to get you started quickly.

- Planet Deeds: Produce Genes, earn Lifeforce and Credit tax

- Scientists: Generate Credits and boost production in The Abyss

Recommended Setups

There are several ways to start depending on your budget and play style.

Beginner Setup

- 1 Patch (free Trooper) for Encounters

- 1 free Ship (tutorial) for Encounters

- 1 Wormfoil Trooper to farm Radioactive Shards

- A few Qwitts for The Abyss (find Robotic Keys)

- Optional: 1–3 Gears to help your Trooper survive Encounters.

- or 1 Basic Starter Deck (includes Patch, Wormfoil, Grumbleblade, and Qwitts)

You can already access Encounters, Missions, and The Abyss with this setup.

Advanced Setup

- Higher-rarity Troopers for stronger Encounter runs

- Additional Gears for customization

- More Troopers for Spacefarer Missions (collect Normal Access Keys and ARCs)

- Ships for Encounters and Ship Battles

- Robot NFTs or Mining NFTs for better Abyss and mining efficiency

- Consider Advanced, Elite, or Legendary Decks, Booster Decks or Ship Decks for more powerful Troopers and Ships

You’ll have enough strength for seasonal Leaderboards and resource sustainability.

Pro Setup

To further boost your Empire's productivity and capabilities, consider expanding with:

- Limited Troopers and Gears are special NFTs with unique bonuses.

- Space Station provides passive FGL Tokens income and Immortalizing discounts.

- Planet Deeds produce Genes, earn Lifeforce and Credit tax.

- Mining NFTs can skip mining queues and improve efficiency.

With this setup, you’ll be able to compete with the very best Empires in the game.
