Welcome to Outlaw Troopers! This guide will help you set up your account, link your wallet, and begin building your Empire.

Novice Quests is a multi-step quest system designed to help new players get started. By following the quest line, new players can learn about the game’s mechanics and earn various rewards upon completing each quest.
Step 1: Login & Account Setup
To begin your journey, you must create a game account. <b>Guest Play is currently unavailable.</b>

Bottom Bar
- Go to https://play.outlawtroopers.io/ and click <b>Register</b> in the top right.

Each section is clickable!
- Create your account using an email address.

This shows your eFGL Tokens balance. Click here to deposit or withdraw. You'll be taken to the "Player Information" page to manage your tokens.
Step 2: Link Your Wallet (Optional)
Linking a wallet is optional to start playing. However, it is required if you want to use your NFTs or access existing progress such as Fragments, Vault Assets, and unclaimed Prizes.

Credits
You also need a linked wallet to withdraw rewards or immortalized items like OLT, Prizes, or Gears.
<html><img src='https://cdn.cosmicclash.io/troopers/wiki/interface_2.png'/></html><br />

This shows your current balance of Credits. The green number indicates your earning rate, which can be affected by Empire Traits or Missions (more on this later). Click here to access your virtual item inventory in Outlaw Troopers, where you can buy or sell items in the Black Market using Credits. New players can earn Credits by completing Novice Quests. Credits, along with Normal Access Keys, are used to advance through Tiers in Normal Encounters. For more details about Credits, click Credits.
- Log in to the Game Interface.

<h2>Tutorial</h2>
- Click the <b>Vault</b> button in the top right.
The first thing you will notice when you start playing is a step by step Tutorial with Smuggling Joe.  He will walk you through the main areas of the game and it is highly recommended that you walk through the entire thing.<br \><br />
If you have not purchased any NFTs yet, check out our Buyer's Guide then come back here when ready!

<h2>Companions</h2>
- Click <b>Link Wallet</b> in the top right.
<html><img src='https://cdn.cosmicclash.io/troopers/wiki/companions.jpg'/></html><br />
Check out the companions tab first, in the top menu go to "Empire Management -> Companions".  The companions were added to the game to provide new players with the resources they need to play!  Check out all the companions to see what they do for you. For example, you can see "Dazzix" provides you with Keys so you can go on normal encounters. This is very helpful!<br><br>
You can see full details about companions here: Companions

<h2>Set Your Missions</h2>
- Follow the prompts to connect your wallet.
<html><img src='https://cdn.cosmicclash.io/troopers/wiki/missions.jpg'/></html><br />
Let's check out the missions screen next!  Go to Empire Management -> Missions.  Here you will manage which troopers you want to send out on missions to start your empire earning.  When you assign a trooper to a mission, they will continue to run that mission permanently until you call them back.  Go ahead and assign all of your troopers to a mission.  Let's start with hacking missions.

<h3>Step 1:  Click the "Hacking" square in the top right</h3>
Note for Wombat Users: If you use Wombat on the WAX network, select WAX first, then select Wombat.
<h3>Step 2: Choose a Ship and a Trooper</h3>
To make it easier to assign missions in bulk, the game will attempt to automatically choose the best ship + trooper for the next mission.  If you run out of ships, click the Underworld Trade Center -> Terminal button to rent a ship.  More information about ship rental can be found here:  Ships
<h3>Step 3:  Click 'Confirm Deployment'</h3>
Cycle through all of your available Troopers and send them on hacking missions for now.  If your Corruption gets too high, send some on a Supervising mission instead. Try to keep your corruption at 0.<br \><br />
For a full breakdown of missions and what they do, check out Missions

<h2>Bottom Bar</h2>
⚠️ IMPORTANT: Wallet Linking Rules
<html><img src='https://cdn.cosmicclash.io/troopers/wiki/interface_main_2.png'/></html><br />
Now is a good time to talk about that bar along the bottom.  This interface is jam packed with information, and each section is clickable!  First off, along the very bottom you can see a visual depiction of your empire's Reputation and how much more you need to get to the next level.

<h3>Premium Currency</h3>
- Permanent Link: Once a wallet is linked to your email, it cannot be removed or changed.
<html><img src='https://cdn.cosmicclash.io/troopers/wiki/interface_1.png'/></html><br />
This area shows you your current balance of the premium currency.  If you want to purchase or withdraw click on this area to open up the currency page.

<h3>Credits</h3>
- 1 Email = 1 Wallet: Each email can link to only one wallet.
<html><img src='https://cdn.cosmicclash.io/troopers/wiki/interface_2.png'/></html><br />
This is your current balance of Credits. The number in green is how fast you are earning more credits.  This can also be a negative number if your Corruption gets too high!

<h3>Ocurium</h3>
- Switching Wallets: To use a different wallet or blockchain, you must register a new email.
<html><img src='https://cdn.cosmicclash.io/troopers/wiki/interface_3.png'/></html><br />
This is your balance of Ocuriums and your earn rate.  Clicking here will bring you to the Exchange where you can buy and sell the ore.

<h3>Virtual Balances</h3>
Step 3: Select Your Regional Server
<html><img src='https://cdn.cosmicclash.io/troopers/wiki/interface_4.png'/></html><br />
<html><img height=285 src='https://misc.outlawtroopers.io/images/server.png?'/> </html>
The next four boxes show your current balances of various virtuals: Artifacts, Lifeforces, Shards, and Black Diamonds.  Click on any of these resources to be brought to the page where you can use them.

<h3>Corruption</h3>
The game runs on Regional Servers for better performance and speed.
<html><img src='https://cdn.cosmicclash.io/troopers/wiki/interface_5.png'/></html><br />
Your Corruption is shown next, this is a very important number.  Make sure you always keep this less than or equal to 0.

<h3>Mission Status</h3>
- Regions: Choose between US, EU or Asia.
<html><img src='https://cdn.cosmicclash.io/troopers/wiki/interface_6.png'/></html><br />
The next section shows you how many troopers you have on active missions. If one of them has been cancelled for some reason it will also show up. Click this to open the mission status page showing all of your current assignments.

<h3>Qwitt Status</h3>
- Regional Progression: Your Empire level, Credits, and gameplay progress are unique to each Server. They do not transfer between regions.
<html><img src='https://cdn.cosmicclash.io/troopers/wiki/interface_7.png'/></html><br />
This section shows you how many Qwitts you have assigned to missions.  Make sure to keep all of your Qwitts on a mission!

<h3>Mail</h3>
- Multi-Play: You can build a different Empire on every Server using the same account (e.g., one on SG and one on EU).
<html><img src='https://cdn.cosmicclash.io/troopers/wiki/interface_8.png'/></html><br />
The last section here shows you how many unread mail messages you have. You can see what your companions + troopers have found, any issues with troop assignments, and more!

Step 4: Import & Manage Assets (For Wallet Users)
The game does not automatically scan your wallet or Vault. You must manually choose which Assets to "Import" to the Server you want to play on.

<h2>Traits</h2>
Use the <b>IMPORT ASSET</b> and <b>MANAGE ASSETS</b> buttons at the bottom of the Server Selection screen.
<html><img src='https://cdn.cosmicclash.io/troopers/wiki/traits.jpg'/></html><br />
Alright!  Now you have your missions setup, you have a good understanding of the UI, let's set some Empire Traits! <br \><br \>
Empire traits can be a great boon to your empire, giving you increased production free credits, less corruption, even a bonus in encounters!  Beware though, if you run out of credits you could be "stuck" with a bad set of traits that can really slow you down.  For beginners a good set of traits are something that gives you free credits, and something that helps with corruption. Good luck!

<h2>Leaderboards</h2>
- Importing: To use an Asset (e.g., Ship, Gear, etc.), you must Import it to a specific Server.
Now that you have your empire humming along, let's go look what we are battling for!  Click on "Community -> Leaderboards" in the top menus.  There are many Leaderboard's, but I want to call out two in particular for now.
<h3>Seasonal</h3>
The seasonal leaderboard is where you can win troopers at the end of the season!  To rank higher on this leaderboard you need to gain Reputation. This is mostly gained through doing Normal Encounters, but check out the Reputation link for more ways.  Make sure you get at least level 10 empire by the end of the season to win your rewards!
<h3>Weekly</h3>
The weekly leaderboard resets each week and features exciting encounters where everyone gets the same trooper/gear setup to compete.  It is a great way to learn new gear combinations, but these are not easy!  It is recommended that you hone your skills in normal encounters before trying the weekly.

<h2>Next Steps</h2>
- Managing: You can Unimport an Asset from one Server and Import it to another at any time. This allows you to move your Assets (e.g. Troopers and Gears) between your different Regional Empires.
Now that you have a basic understanding of the "management" portion of the game, the next step is some real time action!  Next up check out our Encounter Guide and the Abyss Guide

- Active Binding (Sales & Rentals):
*If you sell or rent out an item, it is automatically removed from your Server once the other person imports it.

*When a rental expires, the item returns to your Vault. Re-import it if you want to use it again.

Step 5: Start Playing
Once you select a Server, you can start playing.

Tutorial & Unlocks
When you enter a Server, the tutorial begins.
