Gears
Gears in Outlaw Troopers can be either virtual items or permanent Assets.
Gears are essential items used to boost your Empire's efficiency in Spacefarer and your Troopers' combat capabilities in Encounter.
Types of Gears & Gear Slots
Gears are categorized into four types, each fitting into specific Gear Slots:

Grunt Gear: Provides passive bonuses in the Spacefarer system without needing to be equipped. All Grunt Gear bonuses have a cap limit (equal to the value of 10 Legendary Gears, where 20 Epics = 1 Legendary). For permanent Gears, simply importing them activates their bonus.

Tactician Gear: Provides passive bonuses during Encounters.

Power Gear: Enable active abilities during Encounters.

Limited Gear: Grants unique effects during Encounters. (Each type of Limited Gear has a maximum immortalization of 50.)
Each type of Gear can only be placed in its corresponding Gear Slot. Different Troopers have varying slot availability depending on their types and rarities.
Ways to obtain Virtual Gears
- Complete A.R.C Initiator Quests.
- Clear Gear nodes while running Normal Encounters.
- Buy from the Black Market.
Gear Rarity
Virtual Gears have 4 different rarities: Common, Rare, Epic, Legendary.
Gear stacking ((Permanent Assets Only)
Owning multiple copies of the same permanent Gear (Vault Asset or NFT) increases its Gear Stacking Level (Max Level 5).
- Level 1: Requires 2 copies.
- Level 5: Requires 6 copies.
⚠️ Note: Virtual Gears cannot be stacked for bonuses.
Gear Score
Every player starts with a 100 Gear Score limit, which determines the maximum Gear power you can equip. This limit can be increased by upgrading Gear Score through the Tech Tree.
- Common Gear: +50 Gear Score.
- Rare Gear: +100 Gear Score.
- Epic Gear: +150 Gear Score.
- Legendary Gear: +200 Gear Score.
- Each Gear Stacking Level: +20 Gear Score. (up to +100 Gear Score for max stack.)
- Limited Gears: Do not cost any Gear Score.
Upgrading Gears
Virtual Gears can be upgraded by combining 10 identical Gears of the same rarity.
- Cost of upgrade:
- Common to Rare: 20 Credits.
- Rare to Epic: 400 Credits.
- Epic to Legendary: 2000 Credits.
Note: Crafting 1 Legendary Gear requires a total of 1,000 Common Gears.
Immortalizing (Virtual → Permanent)
- Go to Trade → Inventory, select the Legendary Gear, and click Immortalize.
- Pay the fee of 1,000 Kroc.
- Claim your Gear Voucher in the Vault (Claim tab).
- Blend the voucher in the Vault to receive a permanent Epic (85% chance) or Legendary (15% chance) Gear.
Important: Virtual Gears are wiped at Season end. Permanent Gears are yours forever.
