Introduction
This guide helps new players understand which Assets are needed to start playing Outlaw Troopers effectively.
Outlaw Troopers is a cross-chain strategy game available on both WAX and IMX.
Getting Started (Free to Play)
Every new account begins with:
- 1 Virtual "Patch" Trooper: A non-withdrawable starter Trooper.
- 1 Starter Ship: Obtained from the tutorial.
With these, you can immediately play Normal Encounters and explore the game. To fully access all game modes, you will eventually need a small team of Troopers, Ships, Gears, and Robot Assets.
Understanding the Asset System
Before purchasing items, it is important to understand how Assets work in Outlaw Troopers. Permanent items exist in two places:
- Wallet Assets: These are NFTs held in your external blockchain wallet (WAX or IMX).
- Vault Assets: These are items held within the game’s internal system.
Using Assets in Gameplay
To use any permanent Asset in Encounters, Missions, or the Abyss, you must use the Import it in-game. This applies to both wallet and Vault Assets.
The Blending Restriction (Important!)
Only Vault Assets can be used for Blending.
Assets in your external wallet cannot be moved into the Vault. Because of this, wallet Assets cannot be used as Blending ingredients.
Buyer's Tip: - If you plan to use an Asset as a Blending ingredient (for example, to craft a Mega Qwitt), buy it from the official Vault Shop.
- If you only need the Asset for gameplay, either wallet or Vault versions work.
Where to Buy
Assets can be purchased from the official store or secondary markets.
- Official Store: Vault Shop
- Secondary Markets: NeftyBlocks, AtomicHub, TokenTrove
Asset Types & Purposes
- Troopers: Mainly for Encounters and Missions
- Gears: Boost stats in Encounters and Missions
- Ships: Used for Encounters and Ship Battles
- Limited Troopers and Gears: Special Assets with unique bonuses
- Qwitts: Find Robotic Keys for The Abyss
- Robot Assets: Mainly for the Abyss and Planet mining
- Decks: Bundles containing a mix of Troopers, Ships, Qwitts and more to get you started quickly.
- Planet Deeds generates Genes, Credits, and Lifeforce tax.
- Scientists: Generate Credits and boost production in The Abyss
