- You obtain a starter Ship during the tutorial.

- Learn the basics through the Novice Quests (tutorial).

Encounters (The Core Loop)

Encounters are the primary way to gather resources and grow your Empire.

- Tiers 1–4: Free to play and are designed for learning combat mechanics.

- Tier 5 and Above: Required Energy to enter. Only Tier 5+ Encounters grant Reputation and Credits.

- Energy: As a Freelancer (starting Faction Rank), you automatically regenerate 1 Energy per hour.

- Rewards: Earn Reputation and resources such as Credits, OLT Tokens, Gears, Sacred Gene, and Radioactive Shards.

- Keep Your Loot: You earn rewards for every node you clear. Even if you fail the Encounter at the end, you keep all Reputation and items earned during the run.

- Optional Map Rerolls: Spend Normal Access Keys to reroll a map Layout for better rewards. This is optional; if you don't have keys, you can simply play the provided Layout.

Growing Your Empire

Outlaw Troopers is a sandbox game with multiple paths to success. Each Season, players compete to climb the Leaderboards, complete Challenges, and win Prizes.

- Steady Growth: Build strength gradually by completing Challenges and climbing the Leaderboards to earn rewards like Troopers and OLT Tokens.

Note: Reach Empire level 20 (via Reputation) to qualify for the main Seasonal Empire Level Leaderboard Prizes.

- Strategic Sandbox Examples:

  • Use Kroc earned from gameplay to rent powerful Limited Assets or Decks from other players in the Vault to boost efficiency.

- Fast Growth: Acquire permanent Assets (such as Troopers, Ships and Gears) from the Vault shop or secondary markets. These Assets remain with you every Season and help you earn bigger rewards more quickly.
