Combat Mechanics

For details on how damage, defense, and effects work during battles, see Encounter Combat Mechanic.

How to Start an Encounter

- Go to Explore -> Encounters.

- Select your desired Tier.

  • Sector Intel: View the Map Layout and potential Node rewards.
  • Hostile DB: View the specific enemies and Dominators on the planet.
  • Rules: View the Encounter Rules.

- Setup Screen: Click "Initiate Encounter" to customize your build.

  • Minimap Preview: View your current Map Layout in the top-left corner.
  • Stats: Check your total offensive and defensive stats before deploying.
  • Load: Quickly load your previous loadouts.

Note: The setup screen automatically loads your most recently used build.

- Deploy: Click "Deploy" and to pay the entry cost using Energy or a Discount Access Key.

Tiers

There are unlimited Tiers to explore. You must defeat the boss Node to unlock the next Tier.

- Training Tiers (1–4): Free to enter. These are intended for learning the game and do not reward Reputation or Credits. Map rerolling is unavailable.

- Standard Tiers (5+): Require Energy to enter. Energy costs and rewards increase every 4 Tiers. For example:

  • Tiers 5 to 8 share the same cost and rewards.
  • Tiers 9 to 12 share the same, and so on.

- Cleared Tiers: Tiers where the boss Node has been defeated. These can be rerolled for new Layouts.

- Uncleared Tier: Boss Node not yet defeated.

  • Fixed Map Layout (cannot be rerolled).

Encounter Rules & Reward Scaling

- Energy Scaling: Rewards scale based on the base Energy cost (before any discounts) of the Tier.

  • Each point of Energy spent increases your reward bonus by 10%. For example:

2 Energy gives +10% bonus, 3 Energy gives +20% bonus, 4 Energy gives +30% bonus and so on.

- Node Scaling: Every time you clear a Node within an Encounter, difficulty increases by 20% and rewards (Credits, Gears, OLT) increase by 10%.

Note: Node Queue System allows you to select multiple Nodes at once. Your Ship will automatically travel to and process each Node until the queue is empty.

- An Encounter ends when you defeat the final Boss Node or if your Ship is destroyed.

Map Layouts & Rerolling

If you don't like the rewards on your current map, you can Reroll its Layout. Reroll is only available for cleared Tiers.

- Each Tier has its own saved Layout.

  • Rerolling a Tier saves that Layout for that Tier only.
  • Switching to another Tier loads a separate Layout.

- Each Reroll costs Normal Access Keys equal to 3x the Tier’s Energy cost.

- Free reroll (granted after completing an Encounter):

  • Cannot roll Gene Nodes or OLT Nodes
  • Always generates a 3 × 3 Layout
  • Has a lower chance to roll Credit Nodes

- Minimum rerolled map size: 3 × 3

- Maximum rerolled map size: 6 x 5

Setup Mechanics

- Ship Stacking: Owning multiple copies of the same Ship (virtual or permanent Assets) increases its level and base stats.

- Trooper Boons: Each Trooper provides unique "Active Boons" that changes daily, visible during Troopers selection process.

- Gear Score: Your total equipped Gear cannot exceed your Gear Score Limit. This limit can be increased via the Tech Tree.

- Default Skills: Choose 3 skills to bring into battle. These can be upgraded using Credits to increase their effectiveness.
