Encounters are the heart and soul of Outlaw Troopers! By mastering them, you will:

- Earn Credits, Gears, OLT Tokens, Sacred Gene and Radioactive Shards.

- Gain Reputation to increase your seasonal Leaderboard rank.

- Complete A.R.C_Initiator_Quests for additional rewards.

- Fight Dominators to find Fragments.

Combat Mechanics

For details on how damage, defense, and effects work during battles, see Encounter Combat Mechanic.

How to Start an Encounter

- Go to Explore -> Encounters in game.

- Select your desired tier (Choose your difficulty level).

  • Sector Intel: View the Map Layout and potential Node rewards.
  • Hostile DB: View the specific enemies and Dominators present on the planet.
  • Rules: View the Encounter Rules.

- Setup Screen: Click "Initiate Encounter" to customize your build.

  • Minimap Preview: View your current Map Layout in the top-left corner.
  • Stats: Check your total offensive and defensive stats before deploying.
  • Load: Quickly load your previous loadouts.

- Confirm Deployment: Choose to pay with Energy or use a Discount Access Key.

Tiers

- There are unlimited tiers.

- Tiers 1 to 4 are free but do not reward Credits or Reputation

- Starting from Tier 5, encounters require Energy to enter.

- Energy costs increase every 4 tiers:

  • Tiers 5 to 8 share the same cost and rewards
  • Tiers 9 to 12 share the same, and so on

- Cleared Tiers can be rerolled; Uncleared Tiers cannot.

Reward Scaling

Rewards scale based on the base Energy cost before any discounts. This affects Credits, Gears, OLT Tokens, Reputation, Prestige and Radioactive Shards.

Each point of Energy spent increases your reward bonus by 10%:

2 Energy gives +10% bonus, 3 Energy gives +20% bonus, 4 Energy gives +30% bonus and so on.

Map Layouts & Rerolling

- Each Tier has its own saved layout.

  • Rerolling a Tier saves that layout for that Tier only.
  • Switching to another Tier loads a separate layout.

- Standard Reroll: Costs Normal Access Keys equal to the tier’s Energy cost.

- Lucky Reroll: Costs 400 Normal Access Keys and guarantees at least 1 Gene node in the layout.

- Free reroll (after completing an encounter):

  • Cannot roll Gene nodes or OLT nodes
  • Always generates a 3 × 3 layout
  • Has a lower chance to roll Credit nodes

- Minimum rerolled map size: 3 × 3

- Maximum rerolled map size: 6 x 5

Cleared vs Uncleared Tiers

- Cleared Tier: Crown node defeated; can reroll map.

- Uncleared Tier: Crown node not yet defeated.

  • Fixed map layout (cannot be rerolled)
